A Brief Discussion of Heart House

Heart House represents a continuation of my theme of the tyranny of over-rationalization. The heart in the center is held in place by the sharpened points of the rods that make up the overall structure of the house. There is an implied violence in the way the heart is repeatedly pierced. it's as if the rational grid of the house is forcing the heart to conform to it's expectations instead of being allowed to express it's own desire. It's both protected and held captive by the rigid points of the house.
